China is known as the birthplace of tea and tea culture. They produced a plethora of different styles and traditions for preparing and drinking tea. Taiwan is famous for its premium-quality oolong teas. Most Japanese green teas are fragrant and refreshing with a rich green cup. Japanese culture and tradition is filled with the serving and drinking of tea. India produces well-known Assam, Nilgiri and Darjeeling teas that are common in modern households in the West. Sri Lanka produces Ceylon tea.
