Chai & Pu-erh

Puerh is emerging in the Western world as an unusual and exotic addition to the tea family. It is known in China as medicinal tea, popular for getting rid of toxins in the body, reducing cholesterol and aiding digestion. It is naturally fermented and aged, resulting in a strong, unique aroma and flavour. Chai is best known as coming from India but is found in many countries in Southwestern Asia and the Middle East. It is usually made by combining black tea with aromatic, sweet spices and milk to make a rich, satisfying and healthy beverage. Variations can be found in cafes.
